The author graduated from VA Tech in 1977 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and currently works as an engineer and also as a financial advisor. His favorite past-times are watching his Hokies play and travel, especially on cruises. He and his wife Judy founded the charity, Bringing Hope and Happiness to Others in which they strive to improve the life of children in Romania, and other countries.
As with most fiction writers, Haynes enjoys the “escape” his writing offers to him. He cherishes the thoughts that through his books, readers might recall the best memories of their past.
